Bicycles have been rising in popularity as a mode of transportation in Indonesia, and along with this thrives the country’s cycling communities.

To pedal up the enthusiasm of these communities, Timbuk2 Indonesia organized the ‘Summer City Ride’, a grand cycling activity in Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), Jakarta held last May 15, 2018. The activity was held on a Sunday, which is the weekly car-free day, when thousands of people gather to walk, run, bike, among many other activities they do with their friends and family.

Over 65 participants from various communities geared up to cycle over 25 kilometers in Jakarta- starting from Cyclo Coffee and Apparel in SCBD Jakarta, through the main streets such as Gatot Subroto, Tendean, Radio Dalam, Pondok Indah, and finishing at the Bratpack Store in Senayan City.

Upon successful completion of the route, cyclists had a blast enjoying the entertainment prepared for them at the Bratpack Store such as a mind-blowing DJ performance, fun games, and refreshing snacks and drinks.

They also got to see first-hand the latest Timbuk2 collection as presented by Brand Manager Regina Patricia. Cyclists also came home not only with prizes, but also with a fired up affinity for their sport, as well as for Timbuk2.
